At the northern end of the Kulu valley, lies Manali, the main mountain resort in the area. The spectacular mountain view and surrounding of Manali makes it one of the most sort after places of nature lovers. Large number of hotels and restaurants make it an ideal tourist spot.
Glittering cascade of Beas river, this little town has a flavour unlike that of the major hill stations, with its many splendid excursions and four-day treks. The Dhungri temple, dedicated to Hidimba Devi, the wife of the Pandava prince Bhim, is the most important religious temple.

By Air : Main Airport is the Bhuntar airport, 49 km from town.
By Rail : There are two convenient railway stations: at Chandigarh (broad gauge) from where it is 280 km by road, the second at Pathankot (broad gauge) from where you have to change to narrow gauge for Jogindernagar from where it is 135 km by road via Mandi and Kullu.
By Road : HRTC, HPTDC, other road transport corporations and private bus companies have regular bus services for Kullu and Manali.
